Jubilate Singers – God Save the Queens – 8 May

Jubilate Singers present God Save the Queens, on Saturday 8 May, 7.45pm, at the Catholic Pro-Cathedral, 373 Manchester Street.

A right royal celebration of music composed for the ruling queens of England – Elizabeth I and II, Mary, Anne and Victoria.

The concert includes music by Purcell (Clockwork Orange), Handel (Harry and Meghan’s wedding), Britten (Gloriana Dances) and some rich ceremonious playing from trumpeter Thomas Eves, organist Daniel Cooper and brass-playing companions from the Christchurch Symphonic Brass. Oriana vocal quartet will join the choir in this royal feast.

Dressing up for the queens will be encouraged but optional!
